The Jonas Brothers were mobbed by fans as they stepped out of their hotel in Toronto on Monday, June 30.

The sibling rockers are set to kick off the Burning Up Tour at Molson Amphitheatre in Toronto, Ontario, on July 4th 2008. The North American tour is aimed at promoting their third studio album, A Little Bit Longer, which is set to be released in the United States on August 12, 2008.

A Disney Digital 3D production crew will film the shows in Anaheim, CA on July 13 and 14, for a movie that will be released in theaters early next year.

The Disney Channel movie, Camp Rock, featuring the Jonas Brothers, which aired on “The Disney Channel” June 20, averaged 8.9 million viewers, doing better than High School Musical which debuted to 7.8 million viewers, but falling short of High School Musical 2 which was watched by 17.2 million viewers.

A sequel to Camp Rock will go into production in late spring or summer 2009, according to the Hollywood Reporter.

The brothers are also scheduled to star in a new Disney Channel’s series called J.O.N.A.S! (Junior Operatives Networking as Spies). The show will feature them as band members who dovetail as spies, and will include their youngest sibling, seven-year-old Frankie.

Jessica Simpson had dinner with Tony Romo and his parents at Olive Garden in Janesville, Wisc. on Friday, June 27, while Tony, who grew up in nearby Burlington, was in his home town for a golf tournament.

Doug Belfanz, who was the general manager of the restaurant, revealed that he was incredulous when the reservation was made for the couple.

The general manager said, “We thought it was a big joke. Jessica Simpson’s not going to the Olive Garden in Janesville, Wisconsin!”

[Jessica] Simpson, who nibbled at three-cheese ziti and sipped some wine, appeared more interested in Romo than the fare served by the Italian restaurant.

The general manager continued, “She scooted up next to him during the meal. They were acting like a couple.”

She did complement the chefs though, while leaving through the kitchen, as well as pose with the staff and sign autographs.

The 27-year-old singer continues to be guarded about her relationship when speaking to the press. She has appeared on “The View” Wednesday, June 25, to promote her debut country music album, Do You Know.

When asked if wedding bells were in the offing, she answered, “We’ve been together for … seven to almost eight months now. I don’t really know about wedding bells … I still love him, and I’m still with him, so that’s a good sign.”

Britney Spears is looking to move to a “more quiet” neighborhood, according to court documents released Monday.

Earlier this month, a Los Angeles court commissioner granted Britney’s father, Jamie Spears, the power to sell her Beverly Hills home. Now, the new court documents indicate the reason behind the singer’s search for a new place of residence.

The “Toxic” singer’s current neighborhood is regularly visited by the paparazzi who sometimes station themselves outside of the neighborhoods gates, waiting to snap shots of the pop star. She hopes relocating will solve her paparazzi dilemma.

According to documents, Britney [Spears] hopes to move to an area with fewer residents and a “more quiet and less trafficked neighborhood.”

In addition to seeking a quieter neighborhood, the documents go on to say Britney hopes a new home will provide her two sons, Jayden James and Sean Preston, with more access “to parks and recreation areas,” and “a larger backyard.”

Britney Spears and Kevin Federline are scheduled to begin their custody trial August 25.

Ashley Tisdale, who returned from Salt Lake City, Utah, Saturday, June 28, after completing filming of High School Musical 3, was spotted leaving Chris Mcmillan hair salon in Los Angeles early Sunday morning, June 29.

The “High School Musical” star looked hot wearing a white embroidered camisole and daisy dukes. She accessorized with tanned leather high boots, a leather tote bag and shades.

The 22-year-old actress, who was a natural brunette, is sticking to her new blonde-with-brown-highlights hairdo, but appears to have trimmed the length of her hair.

Ashley [Tisdale] attributes her success to a change in her hair color from naturally brunette to blonde with brown highlights!

She revealed, “It suits my personality. I guess I was a brunette with a blonde personality.”

HSM 3 is slated for release on TV and in theatres on October 24, and with the film behind her, Ashley plans to focus all her attention on recording her second album.

Ashley Tisdale’s first film in a lead role, “They Came From Upstairs”, is set for release on February 9, 2009. Directed by John Schultz for Fox, the film tells the story of a group of kids who protect their vacation home from invading aliens.

The actress becomes the spokesgirl for Degree Girls, a brand of antiperspirant for women that is manufactured by Unilever.

On the details of her love life, Ashley Tisdale has been dating her High School Musical dancer Jared Murillo, a Honolulu native, since March 2007. She is reported to have bought him a promise ring at Na Hoku jewelers in LA on May 30, having received one from him earlier.

The contract between the Broadway League and the Actors' Equity Association has expired as of Sunday. Though both sides say negotiations on a new contract are continuing.

Luckily, neither side wants a repeat of the strikes that took place last November by the stagehands. That resulted in more than two dozen Broadway shows being dark for 19 days.

Oh, and it also cost the producers and city millions of dollars in lost revenues!

Peaceful strikes can make an impact.

In a joint statement, both sides have said "The talks remain productive and both parties are confident a fair and equitable contract will be reached."

The negotiations will include talks about the obvious such as health care benefits and pension.

They will also be talking about the touring program, which was started back in 2004, which allows for different levels of pay for different kinds of tours.

Such as the large hits like Wicked which can last in some cities for weeks and months.

Then the lesser known plays are usually riskier and will only play weekly sets at a lower pay scale.

Also taken into consideration will be the topic of "new media" in which scenes and performers from the shows are used to promote the shows on the Internet.

Whatever happens, let's just hope they don't go on strike.

20-year-old model Ruslana Kurshunova recently graced the covers of French Elle and Russian Vogue and seemed to have a very bright future ahead of her. Many in the industry hailed her as the next big thing and she seemed to have a genuine thirst for life. Which makes it quite shocking that, yesterday, Ruslana jumped to her death from the ninth floor of her New York Water Street apratment building in the Financial district in the middle of the afternoon. Police found no signs of a struggle and deemed it a suicide. According to the Post:

“We were talking on the phone last night,” she said. “She loved life so much. She was an angel.”

Titeneva, who grew up in her pal’s hometown, said Korshunova “wasn’t wild. She was never on drugs or anything.”

Another friend said that Korshunova seemed to be “on top of the world.”

“There were no signs,” said the pal who did not want to be named. “That’s what’s driving me crazy. I don’t see one reason why she would do that.”

The New York Daily News contends that early warning signs were evident on her Facebook page months prior.

Korshunova’s most telling message came three months ago: “I’m so lost. Will I ever find myself?”

She appeared angry in some postings, brokenhearted in others.

“I’m a bitch. I’m a witch. I don’t care what you say!!!” she wrote March 11. “I know what it is. I know why my other relationships didn’t work out, ’cause I’m unpredictable. Why are you afraid of it?”

In January, she wrote, “It hurts, as if someone took a part of me, tore it out, mercilessly stomped all over and threw it out.

“My dream is to fly. Oh, my rainbow it is too high,” she wrote in a March note.

This is very sad. Although, I kind of know what Ruslana was going through. I’m very beautiful myself and sometimes I wonder why people can’t see past my looks and love me for my inner beauty, not just my bulging biceps, kissable lips and rock hard abs.

Beyonce cheered for her boo Jay-Z the Camel as he blew the roof off at Glastonbury this weekend. The Hov also set the record straight for all those opposed to him perfoming at the festival, especially that wack singer Noel Gallagher:

Jay-Z had an answer for his toughest critic at the annual Glastonbury Music Festival in Britain Saturday. The 142,500 fans in attendance cheered as Jigga took the stage with a guitar slung over his shoulder and immediately sang along to “Wonderwall,” the 1995 hit single from British band Oasis.

Oasis lead singer, Noel Gallagher, has repeatedly voiced his frustration with Glastonbury organizers for choosing Jay-Z, a hip hop act, to headline a festival that has been traditionally rooted in rock and alternative music.

“The world should be all about mixing culture,” Jay-Z said to UK radio personality Tim Westwood. “Hip-hop is music in its art form. It should be accepted and respected. It’s all the same thing, it’s just coming from a different perspective.”

Everyone is after your money, even when you're dead.

With the passing of famed opera singer Luciano Pavarotti many questions arose regarding his estate.

According to Italian Law, half of the estate is given to the deceased's widow and the other half to the children.

But, Pavarotti had two wills drafted while dealing with his yearlong battle with cancer.

The first will divided it up according to Italian law, with half the money going to his second wife, Nicoletta Mantovani, and the other half to his four daughters.

Three of the daughters are adults from his 35 yearlong marriage to his first wife, and the fourth is his daughter with Mantovani born in 2003.

Mantovani's lawyer is now saying the family has come to a "friendly" agreement on how to divide up his estate. Though he declined to provide any details about their agreement with Pavarotti's three eldest daughters.

A judge is expected to confirm this new deal by the end of July.

Let's hope his three eldest daughters don't get ripped off from what belongs to them.

Molly Ringwald revealed in a recent interview that she would be up for doing a Sixteen Candles sequel.

Ringwald says, "It was something that I definitely wanted to do, but [writer-director] John Hughes wasn't interested, and I didn't feel comfortable doing it without his involvement. If we can get John to agree, I think it would be great. I think there are definitely a lot of people who would love to see it, and I would love to do it."

Perhaps, John Hughes knows what's best. Why mess with a classic?
