Jarah-Evelyn Makalapua Mariano[1] is an American fashion model. She was born in the city of Lihue on the island of Kauai in Hawaii. Around the age 4, Mariano's family relocated to California where she was raised in the city of Mission Viejo with her two older brothers. After graduating from high school, she moved to New York City where she continued to model and attended Pace University as a full-time student receiving her degree in Speech Communications with a Media Studies Concentration. Mariano has appeared in MAC cosmetics ads, been featured in ads from Armani Exchange, Victoria's Secret, Sephora, Roxy Quiksilver, and Rock and Republic. She has walked the runway from New York to Miami. Mariano is in Jay-Z's "Show Me What You Got" come back video. She also appears in a several Old Navy commercials. She was the subject of Weber's lens for L'uomo Vogue and twice campaigning for Abercrombie & Fitch. Mariano is the cover for the April/May 2007 anniversary issue of Complex magazine and is in the 2008 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition. She is represented by model agency IMG in London, New York and Paris.
Mariano is of Hawaiian, Korean, and Chinese descent.[1]
