Brooklyn Decker (born 3 August 19871 in Kettering, Ohio)2 is an American fashion model best known for her appearances in the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition. She married tennis player Andy Roddick at a private ceremony in Austin, Texas.

Early Life

Decker and her family moved to Middletown, Ohio, then to Matthews, North Carolina, where she was discovered in a shopping mall as a teenager. Her parents both work in the medical field—her father working with pacemakers, and her mother is a nurse.3 Decker attended Butler High School in Matthews, North Carolina.

Career

Decker began her modeling career as the face of Mauri Simone, a popular prom dress maker. She won the 2003 Model of the Year award at the Connections Model and Talent Convention.4

Decker has been featured in pictorials in Teen Vogue, Cosmopolitan, FHM, and Glamour, and has modeled for The Gap, Intimissimi and Victoria's Secret.5 She has also appeared in music videos for Jimmy Buffett and the band 3 Doors Down.6

In 2005, within two months of moving to New York City, Decker auditioned for the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition, in which she first appeared in 2006.7 She was again featured in the 2007 edition, also hosting the 2007 behind-the-scenes television special, and returned to the magazine for a third consecutive time in 2008. In 2007, she had a recurring feature on the CNN/SI website called "She Says, Z Says," along with Paul Zimmerman, discussing NFL football games of the week. Decker also appeared in the 2007 made-for-television Lipshitz Saves the World.8 She worked for a period in Australia.9 She joined the cast of Sports New York to discuss the upcoming NCAA basketball tournament.10 In 2008, Decker rang the Stock Exchangebell with other Sports Illustrated models.11

Decker is represented by Click Model Management and Marilyn Agency.12

Decker made a guest appearenced on NBC's Chuck, where she played a model applying to be a Buy More Girl.

She will be making a guest appearance on USA Network's Royal Pains on July 30th. Decker plays swimsuit model Rachel, while Peter Jacobson will play Alan, her nebbishy hubby.13

Personal Life

During the 2007 Davis Cup final between the USA and Russia, Decker was seen in the crowd supporting American tennis star Andy Roddick. On March 31, 2008, Roddick announced on his website that he and Decker were engaged14, and they were married on April 17, 2009.15
