Afterward, she began appearing in other TV shows and eventually landed a recording contract in Sony's International label, Sony Discos at the age of 15.
In 2003, she released Ana Cristina, her self-titled first studio album. The album spawn the single A Un Paso De Mi Amor (English: A Step from My Love). She lent her voice for the theme songs of Spanish soap-operas Vale Todo and Vivan los Niños. In 2006, she became the youngest member of ASCAP.
