Ana Cristina Álvarez (born June 2, 1985), known professionally as Ana Cristina, is an American pop singer.

Ana was born in Miami, Florida, United States to Rene and Teresa Álvarez. Ana Cristina showed exceptional talent at a very young age. She debuted in a local TV show, Sábado Grande at the age of 6. Afterward, she began appearing in other TV shows and eventually landed a recording contract in Sony's International label, Sony Discos at the age of 15.

In 2003, she released Ana Cristina, her self-titled first studio album. The album spawn the single A Un Paso De Mi Amor (English: A Step from My Love). She lent her voice for the theme songs of Spanish soap-operas Vale Todo and Vivan los Niños. Univision Network also took interest in her and asked her to sing the theme song for the coverage of the 2006 World Cup entitled You Can Change the World. In 2006, she became the youngest member of ASCAP.

On January 20, 2005, Ana Cristina became the very first Hispanic to sing The Star Spangled Banner at a Presidential Inauguration.1 The following year, on October 6, she performed two songs in a private show at the White House in front of President George W. Bush, Felipe, Prince of Asturias, Prince Philippe, and ambassadors from different nations.
